Defiant dad falls asleep at work and keeps job, tells former colleague who was fired for the same thing to sue: 'He says they don't pay him enough'

In the harsh and unforgiving world of work, one of the best ways of coping with it all is having solidarity with your coworkers. Admittedly, this isn't always easy, but at the end of the day you probably have more in common with them than you do the big boss. This is especially true when it comes to getting penalized. In most jobs, nobody is truly safe from an impromptu firing and often favoritism and office politics can play a role. 

This is something that has come to the viral attention of Twitter recently, after one daughter shared her father's workplace antics. Claiming he had been caught sleeping on the job but managing not to get canned because of it, he apparently texted a former colleague who had been fired for the same thing, telling her to sue. Most people felt they had no choice but to respect his attitude. Everybody deserves a chance.

    @peachmilfshake 07 May Replying to @peachmilfshake My dad says they don't pay him enough, so he works ten minutes out of every hour, because that's how much the pay is worth, he says. The rest of the time he just putzes around and plays games on his phone and drinks coffee and sleeps.

    @peachmilfshake. 07 May My dad does maintenance at a hotel/water park. So I'm guessing if people see him just walking in any given direction, he looks busy enough.

Some other facts about my dad -when I was growing up, my dad was a union iron worker, stone setter, etc. He helped build the new yankee stadium and did some of the stone at the 9/11 memorial. -he has so many sponsees at NA it's not even funny -every day he texts me the sunrise

    @peachmilfshake 07 May I told him some of you are angry and he laughed really hard. I don't think you understand how unbothered this man is. This man... kayaks every day and regularly goes to gong therapy. I wish you could meet him so you'd understand how unbothered he is.
